Last Day in Prague:
After breakfast we struck out on the Metro towards the Old Town Square. We went straight to the Charles Bridge and were lucky the bridge was not filled with pedestrians and tour groups. We enjoyed a peaceful crossing and taking pictures at our leisure. By the time we had crossed the bridge many tour groups had started to arrive.
As it was almost 1000hrs we went straight to the Old Town Square and watched the Astronomical Clock strike 10. Next we went to visit the Jewish Cemetery and found the line to be a bit long so we walked around the block and viewed from outside the walls.
The weather started to turn bad and a light rain started to fall and a strong chilly wind began to blow. Seeking refuge, we stopped in a coffee shop for a cup of coffee and watched the world pass by on the crowded pedestrian way.
As the weather was not really nice, we enjoyed a nice long trolley ride, up the hill and past the Prague Castle. Then returning to the other side of the city to a very local Christmas market. This was a nice quaint market and offered many treats. We had a cherry cheese strudel. As it was after lunch time we decided on getting a meal at a local restaurant. We found an Italian restaurant and enjoyed a pizza with Prague Ham, prosciutto, tomatoes and basil. Pretty tasty and filling. We had noticed a local market where we decided to get some snacks for our dinner as we will be trying to get to sleep early this evening.
We took the metro back to our hotel and started the packing process and checking in for the flights home.
