4/11 day at sea
This morning finds us at 16 44.95 North 074 57.41 West.
I awoke and noted the sun getting ready to rise. I grabbed my camera and got some laps in before the a sunrise was ready to be photographed. Lynn started laundry and walked laps. She was feeling the humidity and decided to walk the halls inside.
Laundry done and off to breakfast. New item, PB and J French Toast, basically an “Uncrustable" grilled. It might make a good camping breakfast.
We attended the Good Morning Disney Wonder and I won a DCL lunch cooler.
We then attended Captain Puckett’s presentation and got a very nice overview of the new canal. It was interesting to see the innovation used to save water in the locks on the transit. The estimated cost to transit the canal is by volume and passenger. There are several ways a transit fee can be calculated. If I recall correctly the transit will cost about $393,000.
A little bit about Captain Puckett: Retired Master Mariner - US Navy - US Army and Senior Panama Canal Pilot and Port Captain. He is an Adjunct Professor of Marine Science. For 16 years he was a Senior Canal Pilot and Port Captain, having made over 1440 passages through the canal.
We then started to do the photo challenge. Then we had lunch at Cabanas as it was sushi. We then delivered our recipe exchange cards and returned to our room to cool off.
Then we went for a quick swim, shower and then got all cleaned up and went to the evening show.
We walked this deck again and again
