Random Thoughts about Tokyo and Japan.
The public transport system is great and easy to use.
The countryside is more rugged and densely vegetated than I expected.
Yes there are crowds of people but there seems to be an order and politeness that makes it all run smoothly.
All areas we visited are very clean and there is very little litter. Actually almost none. This is interesting as there are very few trash bins. People retain their trash until it can be properly disposed.
I have learned the number of disposable chopsticks used in Japan over the course of a year could build 13,000 houses. So today I will be finding us chopsticks to keep adn use for the rest of our trip.
I don’t know if I will ever have better tuna.
Tokyo is a fairly bicycle friendly city.
If one is staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Resort and using public transportation, returning in the late evening to Tokyo Disneyland Resort is easy. One simply needs to play salmon and swim up stream. Ah but which stream of people to swim upstream. Easy look for the masses of people dressed with Disney clothes and carrying Duffy Bears, and ladened with Disney shopping bags. Simply go the opposite direction and you will find the proper platform and train to make your return journey.
A visit here is well worth the journey.
Do you have to lock up your bicycles?
