TO THE TIGERS NEST:
Up early and made the short drive to the Tigers Nest Trail Head.
The trail is steep and the weather was warm. Yet, the views are amazing.
According to the legend, Guru Rinpoche flew to the cave on the back
of the tigress, giving the monastery a popular name - the Taktsang
which in Dzongkha means the Tiger's Nest. It is known as Paro Taktsang
which means the Tiger's Nest of Paro
Lynn and I made it to the Tea House. From there we returned to the base and waited for our group. Then a picnic lunch was served.
We returned to the hotel and had our final evening together. We enjoyed a presentation of local dance and song.
In conclusion this was an amazing trip and, as I have said, a spiritual trip. The country is beautiful, only surpassed by the beauty of its People.
The next day we flew back to Bangkok and were greeted by a blast of warm humid air.
I will be working on my photo websites to get many more images posted. Thanks to all for following along.
We will be spending a few days here in Bangkok before we head home.
Then Next up, in a month, a cooler trip to the North, Stay tuned.
