Panakha back to Paro:
We had an early departure back to Paro.
We received our Astrological Reading, learning our personal Buddha, our color and our good and bad days of week.
After lunch we went to the National Museum which is located in the Ta Dzong. Which translates to watch tower. The national museum was originally built as a watch tower above the Paro Dzong. Unlike other Dzongs in the country, Ta Dzong has a cylindrical structure. The sturdy watch tower has a two and a half meter thick wall with traditional windows at every level around the structure. There are historical accounts of the watch tower being used as a prison during the times of war. This is a very nice museum, well worth ones time.
Then a visit to the Paro Dzong also known as Rinpung Dzong is one of the biggest Dzong in Bhutan. Paro Dzong is a fine example of Bhutanese architecture and it is also in tentative list of UNESCO sites.
Then to our lodging for the evening the Zhiwa Ling Heritage. WHAT A PROPERTY.
We cleaned up and had an archery session. That was fun and glad I had practiced up. Yes we danced and sang when we hit the target.
