VANCOUVER DAY
Last evening I discover my battery chargers for the cameras was not working, I was able to find a Best Buy to get a replacement.
We were up early and at the door of Tim Hortons for a bit of early breakfast. The closest did not open until 0800 so we walked to another nearby location for a breakfast sandwich. We returned to greet friends as they woke and then at 0900 we met up with another friend who lives here, as I promised him coffee and other goodies.
It was great to chat and get further caught up as we had just seen each other in Boise last week.
About 1030 we headed out via the Skytrain to Best Buy and had a new charger in hand in very short order. We re-boarded the Sky Train and headed back to Vancouver. At the waterfront station, we transferred to the Sea Bus and went to Lonsdale Quay where we had a nice slice of pizza and a micro brew. There were so many choices it was hard to decide. Lynn had a super gingery ginger beer.
After lunch we re-boarded the Sea Bus to go back to Waterfront station. A quick stop at the room and we were off to Stanley Park. Today the weather was sunny and HOT!!!!. We did a nice walk along the marina and then went to see the Totem Poles and Vancouver’s version of the Little Mermaid, Girl in Wetsuit. Hot and tired, we found a bus stop and rode a few blocks to a shopping area where we made a stop for some cruise supplies. Then we continued via bus to the hotel.
In a short span of time we met up with friends and made our way to the Steam Works for dinner. We had a most enjoyable meal. Time to head back and I decided to race those walking by taking the Sky Train to the Hotel. Well I lost by 3-4 minutes.
We chatted in the hotel lobby till it was time to clean up for bed and get ready for tomorrow.
Seems like we did not do much but 21000 plus steps and no mid day break have me ready to sleep.
First on the agenda is to be at the port to see our ship come in, then breakfast and make our way to the port. Back to Timmy’s for some good coffee and a Fruit Explosion Muffin. Then back to the room for the final pack up and walk to the port to board the ship.
