OFF WE GO, Dark Beer, Vikings, Rugby and More!!

 In Dublin's fair city
Where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
As she wheeled her wheelbarrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh!"
Alive, alive, oh
Alive, alive, oh
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh”

Well Kids, we are off for a fun filled weekend in Dublin, not Ohio.  Found a very decent airfare on United which matched Aerlingus, so off we go.

We are currently in the UAL Club Room awaiting a  flight to EWR, then a hop over to Dublin.

I found a funky looking hotel above a pub that should be fun. The name of the place is Blooms, and the pub is the Vat House.

We will arrive tomorrow morn, score a transport card for transport, and take the Dublin Express into Aston Quay where it will be a short walk to Blooms.

I know we will be early so will prob drop our bags and find a coffee shop.

Friday night is the start of the Autumn Rugby Series with Ireland hosting the All Blacks (New Zealand). Thus a pub Friday night will be in order for sure.

There is a new Book of Kells experience we want to check out. We will also explore the Viking history of Dublin. Trace the paths of the great authors of Dublin. No real set plans so we shall see what we find, many gems out there. I might need a nice sweater.

I also hear they have a decent dark beer there. :)

I need to explore the connection between leprechauns and the Huldufólk or hidden people of Iceland. Just a theory of mine.

So kids tag along and I hope you are inspired to explore the blue marble we call earth.
